Support Amnesty International

As a total keen bean at the start of 5th year I volunteered myelf for the schools Amnesty group, I wasn't completely sure about what they did but I knew it was human rights and I knew they did a good job. So 8 months on and i'm now completely involved, powerpoints on trafficking, torture and Guantanamo are now a part of my life. We even made an Amnesty Christmas Tree with a different innocent inmate behind the window for every day, with the petition to free them on the back :)

Why am I telling you this you're saying, well because I would like you to join me :D I've just finished another presentation on Amnesty's backing of Obama and his first 100 days in office. So very interesting!

Have a look at the website and sign some petitions, maybe donate some money or get involved in your area, it's worth it and if i really have to tempt you.... >>>you get really cool coloured stickers :D

Clarins Make-up Review

I've taken a break from revision and so i'm making the most of it.

I recently purchased True Comfort Foundation (SPF 15), Instant Light Perfecting Touch (Concealer) and Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch (Primer).

I've been very impressed so far with the foundation, it gives best coverage when applied with a brush and blends very well, it is a little pricey at £23 personally, but then i also think it's worth it for what it does so argue that with yourself :) It produces a dewy glow which i know does not appeal to everyone, but this can be over come with a dusting of loose powder (problem solved!)

The concealer is very good however i have tried the Max Factor one too and for half the price it's just as good if not better for dark circles and blend-ability.

The primer is superb and definitely worth the £21, it will last for a long time and makes your skin feel like velvet providing a perfect base for the foundation. It also works nicely blended into the foundation before application however this process reduces the coverage of the foundation.

Ohh and i would also like to recommend the Multi-Blush Cream Compact. It is superb and gives a lovely bit of colour to our cheeks, only problem is it has to be put on right after your foundation otherwise the base is a little to dry and i wouldn't advise re-applying it during the day, although it really doesn't need it.

So yeah... Clarins make-up gets a 5* from me :D

Fiat 500

Well, again sort of off topic but mum and i went and test drove a Fiat 500 this afternoon and i'm completely in love :D

This is the one i've fallen for haha (typically top of the range :P i won't be getting it though)
I so can't wait to be able to drive!!!

Well it has arrived!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-1172396/Helen-Mirren-gives-lesson-old-fashioned-glamour-State-Of-Play-premiere.html

Enjoy, Helen looks wonderful :)

First Post!

Well, lets celebrate, Holly has got her first blog!

Watch out for a number of fashion, film, make-up and Helen Mirren related posts, intermingled with updates on my take on preppy style/hair etc...

I promise this is not a Rah/Sloane thing, i can't STAND! that :) i just love the style, not the associated 'culture'.

Bare with me a while, i'll need to get used to it and work out how to set up my page so it looks a little different.

Bye for now x
